Gladioli Flevo Fusion (season: Winter)
Botanical Name: Gladioli x hortulanus
Gladioli Flevo Fusion puts on a stunning display in the garden with 8-10 large open blooms per stem.
The flowers have ruffled edges in a soft salmon colour with white throats.
They are well suited to a large climatic range and multiply readily. Endemic to South Africa, Gladioli easily survive hot, dry summers by lying dormant beneath the ground, emerging after Spring rains with a head-turning show.
How To Grow | Plant in clumps among other annuals or at the back of a border and stake to prevent wind damage. Plant at weekly intervals for a succession of blooms. Cut flower spikes when the first flowers open. Add plenty of compost to enrich your soil. Suitable for pots. Height: 150cm Plant: 10cm deep, 20cm apart in full sun. |
