Chilli Big Jim
Botanical Name: Capsicum annuum
Big by name, big by nature, possibly the largest chilli available with fruits up to 30cm in length. Big Jim is a heavy cropper with a mild to medium heat level.
Perfect variety for stuffing and salsas. Heat and flavour intensify with red colour.
How To Grow | Sow 5mm (¼”) deep in seed trays or punnets using seed raising mix or compost. Transplant to final position when 7-10cm (3-4”) high, spacing 50cm (20”) apart. Do not let the plants dry out but avoid over-watering. Feed occasionally with liquid fertiliser. Can also be sown direct in growing position in warm soil.
