Honey Dew Melon Seeds
Honeydew melons are a summertime classic, with creamy, smooth rind and succulent, lime-green flesh–and now you can grow your own, with Mr Fothergill’s Honeydew melon seeds. These generously sized fruits can weigh up to 2.5kg, and their delicate sweetness makes them a popular choice for fresh fruit platters, chilled soups, or paired with savoury cheeses.
The smooth rind on the outside lacks the ‘netting’ ridges found on other melons, and on the inside, these melons are brimming with refreshing, sweet taste. They flourish in sunny, warm conditions with rich soil, so grow yours when when the sun comes out and enjoy.

How To Grow
Honeydew melon seeds can be sown directly into warm soil at 20°C or above, or start them in punnets for earlier cropping. Choose a sunny, well-drained position for the final planting site. Press four seeds into damp soil at each clump, leaving 50cm (20in) between rows and clumps. Seedlings typically emerge within 6 to 10 days.
When the young plants develop 5 to 6 leaves, pinch out the growing tips to promote the growth of flowering shoots. Keep the soil consistently watered and well-mulched to retain moisture and support healthy development.
