Golden Oyster Mushroom Kit - NOT AVAILABLE TO WA & TAS
Mr Fothergill’s Oyster Mushroom kits will have you growing tasty, gourmet mushrooms right out of the box. It’s not only a fun, exciting activity that both kids and adults can enjoy, but it’s easy to use and has quick, delicious results. All you have to do is soak the kit overnight and then spray with water daily until the mushrooms start to appear in about 7-10 days.
Golden oysters have a mild, refined flavour and beautiful velvety texture. Perfect with chicken, pork and seafood!

Please note: Mushrooms are live products and the kits may be supplied at slightly different stages of maturity. If your kit is not completely frosty white with mycelium, keep it warm for a few days to fully inoculate before starting the growing process.
How To Grow
1. Open the top of the box and fold down the flaps. Open the bag inside the box, cutting just below where the bag is sealed. Pour enough water in the bag to completely submerge the substrate block and leave to soak for 24 hours.
2. Pour the water out and leave your kit in a well-lit location but out of direct sunlight. Ensure the contents remain moist and humid by spraying water on the surface daily. Drying of the surface will inhibit mushroom formation and growth.
3. Mushrooms will start appearing within 7-10 days and double in size every day. Do not spray any more water when the mushrooms start to appear. When the growth has slowed down it’s time to pick them. You can store the mushrooms for a few days in a paper bag in the refrigerator. Re-soak the kit to grow a bonus crop of mushrooms. When your kit has finished producing you can use the compost in your garden

Refunds
All goods we sell must be of acceptable quality and fit for the purpose they are sold for. If your seeds or bulbs do not grow for whatever reason we will happily provide you with a replacement. For all other products, please contact our head office through our contact us page. Please note we are not required to give refunds for change of mind or under any other circumstances.
