With its compact, bushy growth habit, the Tendergreen dwarf bean is an excellent choice for small gardens and can even be grown in pots and container gardens. These reliable, fast croppers grow quickly and are ready to harvest earlier than other varieties, so you’ll have plenty of tender pods to pick and enjoy in no time. The 15 cm long green beans have a beautiful flavour that works in many culinary applications.

How To Grow
Sow Tendergreen dwarf bean seeds 25mm (1”) deep in dark, damp soil. Prepare the soil with organic compost and aged animal manure before sowing, and avoid watering for a day or two afterwards.
Sow 7-10cm (3-4”) apart, allowing 50cm (20”) between rows. Ensure the danger of frost has passed and protect plants from the wind. Plant in 3-5 metre (10-16’) rows and remove weeds regularly.
Water Tendergreen dwarf bean plants well during dry periods; additional fertilising is not required as legumes produce their own nitrogen. Regular harvesting will result in continued yields.
