How To Grow
Growing Instructions (included with kit)
- Remove all contents from the mug and in a small bowl add 1/2 cup of warm water to the soil pellet. Allow the soil pellet to soak in the water and expand. Continue to add water until the pellets are completely expanded & the soil appears fluffy.
- Once the soil has cooled down transfer most of it into the peat pot, filling the pot to approximately 1.5cm from the brim. Leave a couple of spoonfuls of soil for later use.
- Fluff the soil with a fork, then sprinkle your seeds evenly across the soil surface. Cover the seeds with a very fine layer (5mm) of your leftover soil.
- Place the peat pot on a saucer in a well-lit position but avoid direct sunlight until the seeds have germinated.
- Once seedlings appear apply a half strength fertiliser every two weeks.
- Thin out by removing smallest seedlings, leaving the strongest1-2 plants more room to grow in the pot. The thinnings can be transplanted into the garden or other pots.
- Once the seedlings are mature (with approximately 5 leaves) transplant them into their growing spot in the garden, pot-and-all.
- Once mature, use your chamomile flowers to make tea using the included strainer and mug. Place the fresh or dried blossoms in the strainer and allow it to steep for a few minutes in boiling hot water. You can use the blossoms ontheir own or combine with loose tea leaves. Enjoy!

Support
All of us at Mr Fothergill's genuinely care for our customers and insist that the quality of all our seeds, bulbs, garden equipment and level of customer service are of the highest standards - we want you to enjoy shopping with us. However, we are only human and very occasionally things can go wrong with the picking or delivery process. Please rest assured that, on the rare occasions where this proves to be the case, we will always do our very best to put things right. Please contact us if you require support.
Important Note
- The soil should not need watering again until seeds have germinated. However if water is required, use a water spray bottle to moisten the soil. You can tell if the soil is drying out if the colour turns from dark brown to light brown.
- The soil should be kept moist, but not too wet. If you are unsure about the correct moisture level, press the soil gently. If the soil feels moist but no water appears, the level is correct. If water appears on the surface, gently tip the pot to its side, and let any excess water run out.
Our Guarantee
Quality is paramount to our business, our seeds and bulbs undergo germination and growth tests before being offered for sale to ensure they comply with our strict quality standards. Through this knowledge we guarantee that all of our seeds and bulbs will grow, providing peace of mind that if they do not grow we will send you a replacement.
