HydroSoil Pod FAQ's

The HydroSoil Pod is a growth medium that minimises mess and contains smart soil technology including slow release fertiliser to give plants controlled access to nutrients. HydroSoil Pods contain natural peat and coir and are free from pesticides and other harmful chemicals. HydroSoil pods are designed for use with the HydroGarden Elite smart garden.

 

What is the HydroSoil Pod?

How do HydroSoil Pods work?

HydroSoil Pods are highly absorbent which allows water to be evenly spread within the HydroSoil Pod and gives plant roots constant access to water.

How do I use the HydroSoil Pod?

The HydroSoil Pod is designed for use in the HydroGarden Elite. To get started, follow these simple steps:

  1. Gently squeeze the HydroSoil Pod to widen the slit and sow seeds.
  2. Place the HydroSoil Pod into the Growing Pot.
  3. Place the Growing Pot in the HydroGarden Elite unit.
  4. Add water to the HydroGarden Elite unit reservoir.
  5. Turn unit and grow light on.

How long does the HydroSoil Pod last?

HydroSoil Pods can be stored for 2 years if kept in a cool, dark and dry environment.

What is the HydroSoil made from?

The HydroSoil Pod is made from an optimal blend of natural coir and peat bound with slow release fertiliser.

How big does the HydroSoil Pod become?

Once placed in the HydroGarden Elite, the HydroSoil Pod will swell to the size of the growing pot.

Can I transplant the HydroSoil Pod into my garden?  

Whist the HydroSoil Pods are expertly designed for use in a HydroGarden Elite unit, they can be transplanted into the garden. It is recommended that the HydroSoil Pod is properly discarded at the end of the growing season.

How do I dispose of the HydroSoil Pod?

When your plants turn woody or stop producing fresh growth, it is time to pull them out and start again. Dispose of the HydroSoil Pod in your general household waste after harvest as a new HydroSoil Pod should be used when sowing new seeds.

How much water does the HydroSoil Pod hold?

The HydroSoil Pod retains 3-4 times its weight in water.
