How To Grow

Growing Instructions (included with kit)

Tomato - Rouge de Marmande

When: Early Spring to Summer - all year round in tropical areas.

Where: In pots or trays of seed-raising mix in a sunny but sheltered position.

How: Sow seed 5mm (¼") deep, firm down gently and keep watered. Seedlings appear in 7-14 days.

Care: Transfer to final growing position when sturdy enough, spacing plants 50cm (20") apart. Pinch out side shoots and fertilise regularly once first trusses have set.

Harvest: 12-14 weeks from sowing.


Carrot - Paris Garden

When: All year round.

Where: Direct into a well-prepared seed bed.

How: Sow 5mm (¼") deep in blocks or rows 20cm (8") apart. Cover lightly, with fine soil and gently firm down. Seedlings appear in l 0-14 days.

Care: Thin out plants to 5cm (2") apart. Keep watered and weed free.

Harvest: 10-12 weeks from sowing.


Zucchini - Ronde de Nice

When: Spring to Summer, Autumn in hot regions.

Where: Directly into a well-prepared seed bed in a warm sunny position.

How: Sow 2-3 seeds in clumps 12mm (½") deep spaced 60cm (24") apart. Firm down gently and keep watered.

Care: Thin to the strongest seedling per position when the first true leaves develop. Mulch plants with compost or straw as they grow.

Harvest: 10-12 weeks.



When: Spring to Autumn.

Where: Direct into garden bed or in pots.

How: Sow seeds 5mm (¼") deep. Cover lightly with fine soil. Firm gently and keep watered.

Care: Allow 15cm (6") between plants.

Harvest: All year round  as required.
