Tomato Golden Sunrise
Botanical Name: Solanum lycopersicum
A deliciously sweet heirloom tomato rich in vitamin C and potassium. The attractive globe-shaped fruits are a striking addition to sandwiches, wraps and salads. An early to mid-season variety that is an abundant cropper. Indeterminate, requiring staking or supports.
Winner of an RHS Award of Garden Merit for reliability and good performance.
| How To Grow | Sow 5mm (¼in) deep. Cover with a fine layer of soil and firm gently. Keep soil moist. Seedlings appear in 10-14 days. When large enough to handle transplant seedlings 75cm (30in) apart both ways. Keep well-watered and free of weeds. Pinch out side shoots as they appear. Secure to stakes or supports as plants grow taller. When the first truss has set, feed regularly with an all-purpose liquid feed. Harvest fruits when rich golden yellow for a sweet flavour. |
