Perpetual spinach, or spinach beet is an excellent Summer crop when traditional spinach would struggle with heat. Gator is easy to grow and quick to mature, providing abundant crops of large green leaves over a long cropping season. Use fresh in salads or lightly cooked like spinach.
How To Grow | Sow 12mm (1/2in) deep in rows 30cm (12in) apart. Firm gently and keep moist. Seedlings appear in approximately 10-14 days. For continuous crops sow every 2-3 weeks. Thin plants to 30cm (12in) apart. Keep plants moist and weed free. |
