The perfect tool for successful seed raising and plant propagation. Particularly well suited for starting your seeds early through Winter and in cooler areas, but can also be used year round. The Heatpad is made from polycarbonate and supplies a steady low heat (37 degrees celsius) through mains power. Simply plug in and grow.

Couple with a Mr Fothergill's Hydrogarden or Greenhouse for a complete Winter growing solution.

  1. What temperature does the Heat Pad heat up to?
    Our seed raising heat pad heats up to 37 degrees Celsius. This may vary by a few degrees Celsius depending on the environment’s temperature it is used in.
  2. What temperature does the soil heat up to when the Heat Pad is used?
    On average, it should warm up the soil by 5-10 degrees Celsius. This is all dependant on the surrounding environment’s temperature it is used in.
  3. Is the temperature adjustable?
    No, The Heat Pad does not have an adjustable thermostat.
  4. How much power does the Heat Pad use?
    The Heat Pad uses very little power, it is only 12 watts, which equates to 0.288 kWh/day (24hrs)
  5. How long do i use the Heat pad for?
    Use the Heat Pad to germinate seeds and grow your seedlings to a stage where they can be transplanted into the garden when the weather is suitable. It is important that you 'harden off' your seedlings before moving them to the garden outside. There are many articles online about how to do this.
