How To Grow

Sow direct where they are to grow into a well prepared bed. Sow thinly in rows 30cm (12in) apart. Cover lightly with 5mm (¼in) of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist.

Seedlings appear in 10-21 days.Harvest approximately 12-16 weeks from sowing.

When harvesting select young carrots evenly from the rows, allowing the remainder to develop fully. Keep well watered and weed free.

How To Cook

Halve carrots lengthwise and cut crosswise into slices. Stir-fry carrots in hot oil until they begin to colour. Add garlic, then a splash of water and butter, and simmer until carrots are just tender. Stir in lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste. Grow your own produce to create truly authentic dishes inspired by regional cuisines of the world’s kitchens.
