Gladioli Green Star (season: Winter)
A unique pale lime green flower colour that is popular for florist arrangements. Plant in groups or pair with other colourful flowers for best impact.
Gladioli come in a great selection of colours and grow to a magnificent height – making them ideal for a stunning display. They are well suited to a large climatic range and multiply readily. Endemic to South Africa, Gladioli easily survive hot, dry summers by lying dormant beneath the ground, emerging after Spring rains with a head turning show. Plant in clumps among other annuals or at the back of a border and stake to prevent wind damage. Plant at weekly intervals for a succession of blooms. Cut flower spikes when first flowers open.
How To Grow | Plant: 10cm deep 20cm apart in full sun. Prevent wind damage by light staking. |
