Strawberry Lowanna (Crowns)
Availability: Out of stock
Lowanna has been bred for Australian conditions, with their large red berries retaining their shape even during the hottest months. It fruits for longer than many others varieties and is ideal for hanging baskets, containers/pots or garden beds.
How To Grow
Plant Crown to be on soil surface 40cm apart in full sun. Grow in a raised bed or in pots. For best results the soil should be well prepared with organic matter and have good drainage. Surface mulching is recommended to retain moisture and limit weed growth. Strawberries are shallow rooted so require ample moisture to ensure good growth and fruit production. A liquid fertiliser should be applied throughout the growing season. Plants bear well for about three seasons.
