Details

A floricane variety producing high yields of bright red, medium sized, fragrant berries. Good rot resistant fruits that freeze well. Harvest for four to five weeks over Summer, with a smaller Autumn yield.

Raspberries are a versatile fruit used to make mouthwatering jams, sauces, purees, soufflés or simply eaten fresh with cream or ice-cream. 

Raspberries are a suckering plant that grow best in cooler climates and prefer a rich well drained soil in a position that does not have exposure to the hot afternoon sun. When planting create a mound of 10-15cm to assist drainage, mulch and keep well watered during growing period. Attaining a height of 2m they should be supported with a trellis or grown up against a wall.

Nootka is a floricane variety that fruits on new growth as well as on the previous year’s growth that has received winter chill.

How To Grow
