How To Grow

Raspberries are a suckering plant that grow best in cooler climates and prefer a rich well drained soil in a position that does not have exposure to the hot afternoon sun. When planting create a mound of 10-15cm to assist drainage, mulch and keep well watered during growing period. Attaining a height of 2m they should be supported with a trellis or grown up against a wall.

Primocane raspberries can be cut down to ground level after last Autumn harvest or during Winter. However if you leave up to 6 new season canes uncut you can get a second crop early next Summer.

Cover roots 50cm apart in full sun. Feed plants with a complete fertilizer as fruit is forming.
