Gladioli Purple Flora (season: Winter)
Purple Flora is the best velvet-purple gladioli. There is no richer textured flower and it looks wonderful among other Summer annuals or perennials.
How To Grow | Gladioli come in a great selection of colours and grow to a magnificent height – making them ideal for a stunning display. They are well suited to a large climatic range and multiply readily. Endemic to South Africa, Gladioli easily survive hot, dry summers by lying dormant beneath the ground, emerging after Spring rains with a head turning show. Plant in clumps among other annuals or at the back of a border and stake to prevent wind damage. Plant at weekly intervals for a succession of blooms. Cut flower spikes when first flowers open. Plant: 10cm deep 20cm apart in full sun. |
