Snow Pea Oregon Dwarf

Botanical Name: Pisum sativum

$5.50

Snow Peas combine taste and economy as the whole of the pod is eaten and cooked. This is a very heavy cropping variety providing fleshy, light green pods with a fine sweet flavour
Pick when pods are still flat and peas are only just forming. If you have too many leave some on the plant and allow the pods to swell, they are still delicious. Half-hardy annual.

We hope you enjoy these snow pea seeds, just another great example of vegetable seeds from Mr Fothergill's!

How To Grow

Sow in flat trenches 15cm wide, and 5cm deep. Plant seeds into dark, damp, well-prepared soil in a zig-zag fashion along the middle of the trench, allowing 7.5cm between them. Fill trenches with soil and gently firm down. Where more than one row of peas is required, allow 90cm between rows.

Protect from birds with netting or black cotton during the early stages of growth. We advise using a trellis or other style of support for the peas to climb.

Seedlings emerge 7-10 days. Water regularly after germination.

Regular harvesting will result in prolonged yields.

When To Plant
