A real old favourite - one of the most popular staking varieties with medium to large globe-shaped fruits. Very reliable.
When to plant: Early Spring to early Summer How to grow: Sow 6mm (quarter-inch) deep in pots or trays of seed raising mix compost. Transplant to 10-15cm (4-6in) pots in a warm, sunny spot. Transfer to final fruiting position when sturdy enough. Space plants 75cm (2.5ft) apart each way. Water daily and when the first truss has set, feed regularly. Pinch out side shoots as they appear.
