A combination of green and yellow buttons with scalloped edges and a mild, creamy flavour. Great in salads when picked young, or as a tasty vegetable when cooked in butter or gently steamed.
When to plant: Spring and early Summer How to grow: Sow 2-3 seeds together to a depth on 20mm (1in) in a slightly raised bed in full sun, about 75cm (30in) apart. Soil must be warm - 20C or above - for good germination. Thin to leave the two strongest seedlings only. Keep well watered and feed regularly after flowering commences. Pick frequently to encourage more fruit. Harvest: 7-10 weeks or when 5cm in diameter
