The gently fluttering heads of Shirley Poppy are a delightful sight in Spring. Showy, free flowering and so easy to grow, they are one of our most popular garden flowers. Our mixture includes red, pink, white, rose and crimson single flowers. A hardy anual, it prefers a warm sunny position and a well-drained soil.
When to plant: Late Summer and Autumn How to grow: Sow 5mm (quarter inch) deep in flowering position. Lightly cover the seed and keep moist. Thin young plants if necessary. Will flower for many months if dead heads are removed regularly. Flowers: Mid Spring to mid Summer
