Adds colour and flavour to salads and cooked dishes. The white flesh under the blood red skin is mild and tasty.
When to plant: Autumn to Mid-Winter How to grow: Sow in seed trays or seed beds for transplanting when seedlings are about 10cm high. Keep moist. Sow in rows and thin to 2cm apart and transplant to 10 cm apart. Prepare soil well with plenty of organic matter and some mixed fertilizer. Harvest: 22-30 weeks
