Also known as 'Satin Flower', honesty is grown primarily for flower arrangement. It's purple flowers are as welcome in Spring as its silvery pods in mid-Summer.A hardy biennial, usually grown as an annual. Prefers a cool, partly shaded position.
When to plant: Spring and Autumn
How to grow: Sow 5mm (quarter inch) deep in seed trays or punnets using seed compost. Keep moist. Transplant to flowering position when sturdy enough, spacing 30cm (1ft) apart. Feed with liquid fertiliser just prior to flowering. Flowers: 12 weeks after sowing
