Dahlias are so easy to grow from seed. Free flowering, this excellent mixture includes a wide range of colours. An excellent cut flower. A perennial, flowering the same year. Prefers a sunny position.
When to plant: Spring through to early Summer How to grow: Sow 5-7mm deep (quarter-inch) dep in seed raising mix. Thin out, and transplant seedlings when 5-7cm (2-3in) tall, spacing plants 30cm (1ft) apart. Seedlings may take several days to germinate, so keep moist. Water regularly during dry spells and remove dead-heads to prolong flowering season. Flowers: Summer and Autumn
