A dramatic colour combination of richest velvet red edged in bright gold. Beautifully shaped, uniform leaf formation, on dwarf compact plants. This plant is frost sensitive and needs protection in cold areas over winter.
When to plant: All year as required
How to grow: To grow as a summer foliage plant in pots or trays of seed compost, just covering the seed. Maintain a temperature of 15-20C (60-68F) and keep compost moist.To grow as indoor plants sow: at any time. Pot seedlings on as the plants develop, finally into a 5in (12cm) pot. Remove flower buds as they appear to encourage leaf development and bushy plants. Thin (prick out) to further pots or trays when seedlings are large enough to handle. Harden off before planting out in December, allowing 8-10in (20-25cm) between plants. Flowers: All year as required
