The pizza pepper. Very hot thick-walled, 2in (5cm) long fruits and of medium green to red when mature. Medium Hot.
When to plant: Spring to early Summer How to grow: Sow 0.5in (1.5cm) deep in trays or pots of moist seed compost at a temperature of approx. 21C (70F). After germination reduce the temperature to 15-18C (60-65F); a warm windowsill is generally suitable. Transplant into 3in (7.5cm) pots when the seedlings are 2in (5cm) high. Plant out under glass in mid-October into 9in (23cm) pots, or space 18in (45cm) apart, or three plants per grow bag. Alternatively, harden off and plant in a warm, sunny but sheltered spot in early October, allowing 18in (45cm) between plants. Harvest: Summer and Autumn
