One of the best flavoured Dwarf French Beans there is. It produces heavy yields of glossy purple stringless beans. The pods change colour to an appetizing dark green colour when cooked.
Halfhardy annual.
When to plant: Spring to Summer How to grow: Sow 2in (5cm) deep, 6in (15cm) apart, allowing 18in (45cm) between rows. For an earlier crop sow under cloches from late August onwards. French Beans need warm soil and will not germinate if it is too cold. Thin out or transplant to 12in (30cm) between plants. Hoe regularly to keep down weeds. Water well in dry periods. It will help the pods to set if you spray the flowers with a fine rose on your watering can. Seed sown under cloches will be ready to start picking in December and October sown crops in lagte July. Pick when young. Harvest: Late Spring to late Autumn
